Big weekend! We went up to Crawford Notch to celebrate Mike’s 30th birthday with a camping trip, and when we got there he and Mary had just gotten engaged! Congratulations to the two of them, they’re a super special couple! We had a great weekend full of swimming holes, hammocks, tents, smores and doughboys.

Some shots from a few weeks ago, on a much needed warm vacation in Palm Springs! It’s about time some of that weather comes this way.

Happy Valentines Day guys! Me and my special lady had a weekend full of good times… Friday night was The Illusionist (Sylvain Chomet, not Ed Norton) and The Friendly Toast, then Saturday was chocolate buffet at the Langham Hotel (whoa), then Posto for some of the best pizza I’ve had in Boston (margherita with anchovies) followed by Central Square drinks at Zuzu and Green Street. One of these years we’ll get tickets to Casablanca at the Brattle before it sells out!

Some of my favorites from a recent roll. Two kids’ toys in strange places. Two of my peeps for keeps. And Karate.

We had a massive storm last week, dumped about 18 inches on Wednesday. We had a snow day at work but I decided to trudge to the gym anyway, more as an excuse to go out and shoot in the weather than anything…

Honeymoon Part III – Athens!

We loved Athens. If only we had known… we would have stayed more than 24 hours. Well, good to have a reason to go back! We only saw a fraction of the city, you don’t get a feel for how sprawling it is until you get up to the Acropolis and see the white buildings below, spreading out and climbing the foothills of the surrounding mountains. At least we had one great night (and one AMAZING meal)!

Honeymoon Part I – Istanbul! This city was amazing. We wanted to go somewhere different from anywhere we had been, and boy did Istanbul deliver. Hectic, vibrant and inviting, we felt at home here almost immediately. And then felt overwhelmed. And by the end, we didn’t want to leave. It would have been nice if the rain let up, but what can you do?

Been a while… I was super busy getting myself hitched! Here are some photos from the weekend of the wedding… that last one is our view from the hotel of the BPL, where we said “I do!” Honeymoon to follow!
